NAEC’s new project "Assessment for Development" implies testing 4th and 6th grade students in Georgian Language and Literature (Literacy) and Mathematics (Quantitative Literacy).
School assessment platform will be created to register and test students online. The results will help students and parents keep an eye on the progress and obtain information on students’ needs. This project will enable each school observe the teaching and learning trends both at an individual classroom level and in general. It is important that the assessment received does not reflect on the student's annual assessment.
The online platform will be tested in early 2020, and piloting of the project will begin in spring. At the first stage it will involve 4th and 6th graders from about 200 schools. However, 10th graders might also participate in the project in near future.
